Anya Taylor-Joy

The birth of Anya Taylor-Joy took place on the 16th of April, 1997 in Miami Florida. Dennis Alan Taylor is a retired banker and Jennifer Marina Joy is a psychologist. Her father was an Argentine with Scottish as well as English roots. Her mother comes from Spanish and English ancestry. Taylor-Joy was born into a household of six children. Four are her siblings from the previous marriage to Taylor's dad. The family was at Buenos Aires until she was six years old, and then moved to the Victoria region of London. Taylor-Joy says the move to London was traumatic and that she was unable to study English to avoid moving back to Argentina. Hill House had to be her new school after she changed schools from Northlands. Then she attended Queen's Gate School in London, where she took ballet classes as well as participated in drama productions. At the age of 16, she dropped out of school in order to take on a full-time job in acting. Taylor-Joy always knew she wanted to be an actor. Her dream was granted a opportunity by Sarah Doukas founder of Storm Management and was offered a job as a model.
