Charlotte Church (born February 21 in 1987) was an opera performer from Llandaff Wales in the United Kingdom. Welsh singer and songwriter famous for her recordings of pop and classical music. She's sold 10 million albums around the world. The singer debuted with the top-selling single Crazy Chick. Church wished to portray Hermione Grenger in Harry Potter Films, however Church requested Emma Watson in Harry Potter to portray Hermione. Emma Watson was selected instead. Church, born Charlotte Maria Reed was the daughter Maria (nee Cooper), an engineer from Wales and Stephen Reed. Her father, Stephen Reed, left Charlotte with her mother at the age of two. Charlotte was later taken care of by her mother. Charlotte was born an Roman Catholic. The year 1992 was the year Maria was married to her husband of two years James Church who adopted Charlotte in 1999. She is the eldest among four kids. She also was featured in an episode The Catherine Tate Show with an imaginary character called Joannie Taylor. She appeared briefly in 2008 in Katy Brand's Big Ass Show in a short sketch.
