Arianna Huffington
Arianna Stassinopoulos Huffington is a Greek American author syndicated columnist and businesswoman. She's co-founder and CEO of Thrive Global, as well as the author of 15 books. Arianna Huffington, an independently-owned Liberal news site is a popular TV show host author, author and philanthropist. She was born in Greece then moved to England at the age of sixteen. Then, at Cambridge University, she graduated with a MA in economics. She was elected president at the age of 21 of the famous debating club The Cambridge Union' and was the first foreign born student who was elected to this position. After her graduation, she was an influential conservative syndicated journalist. Then, a couple of years after that she launched The Huffington Post which featured an unbiased critique of the political scene. Her popularity has led to the attraction of many well-known contributors who shared their opinions about politics, news and culture. Arianna was famous after she was elected independently in a recall election in California to replace the then-Governor Davis. She also headed a Detroit initiative to make cars more fuel efficient. Forbes named her as the 12th most influential women on the planet in 2009 and Guardian has also placed her on the Top 100 Media List the same year. AOL Inc. bought The Huffington Post in 2011 and named her president of the media group that also includes additional AOL properties such as Engadget AOL Music Style list and Patch Media. She was the daughter of journalist and management consultant Konstantinos as well as his spouse Elli Stasinopoulos. Even though she was in a close relation to her father and mother and father, it was their relationship that helped shape her. While in her formative times, she demonstrated abilities to lead, and for this are still in high demand.
