Anna Paquin

Anna Paquin is a Canadian and New Zealand actress. Paquin was born in Winnipeg and grew up in Wellington and made her debut in the role of Flora McGrath when she played the role in The Piano. She won an Academy Award at the age of 11 to be the Best supporting Actress. Anna Paquin's full name is Anna Helene Paquin. Born July 24th 1982 in Winnipeg Manitoba Canada, she was the first Canadian born New Zealand actress. As a child, Paquin won her the Academy Award for best support actress. Her performance as the talkative and inquisitive young girl Holly Hunter played in The Piano (1993) brought her the honor. Paquin played a minor role as the title character when she was still a kid in Franco Zeffirelli's Jane Eyre (1996) as well as an important role in the film Fly Away Home (1996). Paquin was Frankie Addams from a television film version of Carson McCullers' novel The Member of the Wedding (1997). The actress had a supporting role as the Queen of Spain Steven Spielberg's Amistad (1997. She played teenage girls in of Hurlyburly (1998), She's All That (2000), A Walk on the Moon (2000) and portrayed in the role of Polexia Aphrodisa girl in Almost Famous (2000).
