Lowell started acting in Dangerously Close, followed by the role of a minor character in Club Paradise, starring as Robin Williams. The roles she played included co-starring with Bond girl Pam Bouvier, in the James Bond movie Licence to Kill (1989), and as Assistant District Attorney Jamie Ross, in 1996. She also appeared in Law & Order for two seasons. In 2005, she appeared in the similar role as Jamie Ross on Law & Order: Trial by Jury. Then, in 2022, she reprised her role on the original show. Prior to getting the role, she was frustrated with her acting career. She applied to New York University's documentary filmmaking programme. [4] In the middle of 2000 Lowell took a break from acting.
