Paula Patton, an American producer and actress, is known for her roles as the main character in Mission: Impossible: Ghost Protocol (an action thriller) and Precious (a drama). Her family was a middle class one in Los Angeles, she harboured huge dreams when she was a kid. The mother of her children was a film buff and instilled a love of films into the girl. Paula participated in co-curricular school events, and she was especially interested in acting. Paula enjoyed acting with her friends as well as participating in the school's stage productions. Hamilton Magnet Arts High School produced a number of plays. The actress decided acting was the career she wanted to pursue. She was part of the University of Southern Calif's Summer program and enjoyed tremendously. She was awarded an assignment by PBS to create documentaries over 3 months. Her first job was as an assistant to production for TV documentaries following her successful completion of the assignment. After that, she started producing documentaries. But she still had a desire to work as an actress although she was content with her current position. In the romantic comedy Hitch she played a small part with Will Smith. In the years since, she has appeared in a number of well-known television and film shows.
