Anna Silk was born at St. Thomas University in Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada. She is the daughter of Peter Silk - an academic and Ilkay Silk, an accomplished actor who is also a director, writer and producer. Her father comes from Britain as does her mother, who is an "Turkish Cypriot-English expat." Anna's early memories involve attending rehearsals for plays as well as watching her mother's working. While still a small child, she was featured in various commercials. Then, in November 1999 Anna made the move to Toronto for the purpose of advancing her acting career. She eventually shifting to Los Angeles, California, within the next decade. Seth Cooperman was introduced to Anna in Los Angeles at an acting training workshop held in 2007. The couple got engaged in the year 2009. Anna, who had converted to Judaism in the year before, and Seth Cooperman were married in December 2010 in Fredericton. The couple got married in April 2011 the couple renewed their wedding vows by having an Jewish ceremony. Bo's same-sex relationship to Lauren (played by Zoie Palmer) was featured in the list of CNN's all-time favorite Television Couples and named the Top TV Couple in the year 2013 by E! Entertainment Television. The success of the show has led to Anna building a large audience on social networks.
