Reese Witherspoon feetLaura Jeanne Reese Witherspoon, born on 22nd March 1976 is an American actress. Her numerous awards include an Academy Award, British Academy Film Award and Primetime Emmy Award. She was also honored with two Golden Globe Awards. Time magazine and Forbes both have named her among the 100 most influential individuals around the world in both 2005 and in 2006 both. Forbes declared her the world's most wealthy actress in 2021. Her estimated fortune of $400 million. Witherspoon made her screen debut in The Man in the Moon (1991). In 1999, she made her first breakthrough in the role of a part of a supporting actress in Cruel Intentions. She was also known for portraying Tracy Flick as Election's black comedy. Elle Woods, a comedy comedy (2001) as well as its sequel in 2003 brought her greater recognition. Also, she was in Sweet Home Alabama (2002), a romantic comedy. The film was critically acclaimed and received the Academy Award for Best Actress for her role as June Carter Cash, in the musical biopic Walk the Line. Following a decline in her career, during which her only box office success was Water for Elephants (2011). Witherspoon returned to the screen in the form of a producer and played in Wild (2014). She received a second Academy Awards nomination for Best Actress. Witherspoon has continued to work predominantly in television and has appeared in and produced a number of female-led adaptations of books under Hello Sunshine. These include the HBO drama series Big Little Lies (2017-2019), The Apple TV+ drama series The Morning Show (2019-present), and the Hulu miniseries Little Fires Everywhere (2020). The Primetime Emmy Award was won for Outstanding Limited Series in the first of these series. She also created the films adaptations Gone Girl (2014) and Where the Crawdads Sing (2022).Witherspoon also owns a clothing business, Draper James, and she is active in women's and children's advocacy groups. She sits on the board of directors for the Children's Defense Fund (CDF) and was appointed Global Ambassador of Avon Products in 2007, acting as the honorary chair of the foundation.
